Lauren Raphael is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience helping teens, adults, couples, and families navigate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, school-related issues, relationship stress, divorce, and autism spectrum challenges (Level 1). Lauren offers both virtual therapy across Illinois and in-person sessions in Northbrook.
Individual therapy for teens (12+) and adults
Couples & family counseling for communication, conflict, and parenting
School-related concerns like ADHD, executive functioning (initiating tasks, organization, planning, time management, etc), mood, and school attendance.
Support for autism spectrum disorder in teens and adults
Lauren Raphael’s style is warm, straightforward, and rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT-informed skills, and family systems work. Together, you’ll focus on practical tools you can actually use between sessions.

Expertise in ADHD and executive functioning challenges, including high achieving professionals with these challenges
Special training in anxiety, depression, and mood disorders
Extensive experience with divorce, co-parenting, and relationship issues
Background in school social work and special education advocacy (ten years in various school settings supporting students 12+ years old through college)
Experience in supporting teens and adults with autism spectrum disorder (Level-1)
